Woods Edge Park is a small community park, tucked away between a couple of neighborhoods on Centerville Rd. At first glance, this unassuming park doesn’t seem like it would be a special spot for birding, but this beautiful park is rich in wetlands that serve as a great habitat for a variety of birds. On a normal day, you can find Herons, Egrets, Canada Geese, or Mallards at Woods Edge, but the park often serves as a stopping point for more rare varieties of birds. During migration season, it is even common to see Snow Geese hanging out on the water. The park has level elevation and paved paths throughout, which provides leisurely access for anyone looking to bird at this location.
